Boutique Editing
Personal service to help you write your book, your way, excellently.
Personal Service: You will have my full attention. I, personally, will listen deeply to you and put myself entirely at your service to produce writing that authentically reflects you.
To Help You Write: You will do the writing. You will take the journey of writing yourself, to learn everything along the way, and earn the self-respect and deserved prestige of becoming an author. I will guide you, accompany you, and smooth the way to make the journey easier, more fun, and more enlightening.
Your Book: Part of our journey will be discovering the book that you alone can write. You will write a book authentically yours, that truly expresses you — a book as unique as you are. Your book will be remarkable and noteworthy, because it will be individual, personal, and authentic — just like you.
Your Way: We will find the writing process that suits you. You will write in your own voice, on your own terms, about the subject you are most passionate about. My motto is “I suggest, you choose.” You will always retain final authority over your book.
Excellently: We will work together to polish your writing to a high shine — remarkable for ease of reading, quality of content, freshness of language, and expert technique. Your book will stand out for the beauty of its writing and excellence of its editing.
What published authors who used my service say about me:
Every good book deserves a good editor. Ours was Anna Paradox. Her maxim is “I suggest. You decide.” The more we heard, the more suggestions we wanted. If you need an editor, she’s your huckleberry. Matt Flynn, Raleigh, NC.
“Our editor, Anna Paradox, was excellent and extremely flexible. She put together the most impressive 3-day marathon editing session I’ve ever seen. Thank you Anna.” Ed Miller, Manhattan, NY
I have begun half a dozen books in my life and finished one. They were all going to be my all. Each time I started a book, I knew that this time I would finish a book. But I didn’t. Then I didn’t again. And again and again. I’m talking about a 25 year history of being so revved up about writing a book that I could think of nothing else but the book. And then a month or two later, the fire was out, again.
“And then along came Anna. Soon after we met, she became the editor of my articles. Six months and six articles later, we decided to do a book. When I say we I mean we as in my job would be to write the book, and her job would be to make sure I wrote the book. How did she do it? By letting, no, insisting, that I be me. By helping me overcome all the things that had been in my way before, things I didn’t even know about. And by being relentlessly passionate about writing, and words, and details, and generalities, and my project.
I met Anna, and then I wrote a book. Tommy Angelo, Palo Alto, CA
